Target note

Full name: Urokinase-type plasminogen activator receptor
Nature: Membrane-anchored receptor (GPI) involved in tumor invasion and metastatic spread.
Normal expression: Low in healthy tissues; present during inflammation and tissue remodelling.
Disease expression: Invasive front of prostate, pancreatic, breast, bladder, colorectal and head and neck cancers.
Value: A marker of aggressiveness, expressed by both tumor cells and the stroma.
Approaches: Ligands labeled with ¹⁷⁷Lu (HT547), paired with a ⁶⁸Ga tracer for selection.
Indications explored: Advanced solid tumors (phase 1).
Points of caution: Therapeutic clinical data still very limited.
